The Souls of the Children – We are their Protectors
On November 18, 1978, when 918 members of Jim Jones’s People’s Temple were forced to drink poison Flavor-Aid or be shot to death this does not describe suicide. Of the precious souls of seniors in their golden years, and women in their childbearing years, of those who died 305 were innocent children. They were forced to live in the jungles of Guyana, barely eating and being terrorized in the middle of the night to hear a shrewd, calculating man scaring them to death.
Today, we still feel the pain, and we feel a sense of responsibility for the Souls of these 305 children. Forty-three years later, today, we still strive to continue to honor the Lives of the Children. How do we rise above the atrocities of this gut-wrenching tragedy that took place on that day? Cherishing the Innocent Children Memorial (CICM) works to become for all children, Parental Ambassadors, the protective factors that are needed to ensure that children will never suffer these kinds of atrocities again in spite of the severe odds they face in their daily lives. The establishment of the CICM Portable Memorial to honor them on their sacred final resting place solidifies our commitment with the hope that those of us committed to the Souls of the Children will become Parental Ambassadors as organizations, churches, leaders, or individuals joining this work. All but a few of the children were American Citizens and predominantly Black. Is this the reason a Cemetery owner would cement a mass murderer’s name in History on the resting place where 40 infants are buried? 406 bodies where most of the children rest, who now desecrates their memory as they silently scream from the ground, “We couldn’t escape him in America, Jonestown, and we still aren’t free from Jim Jones, who ordered our deaths before we could fulfill our God given destiny.”

Jonestown Topped The Chart Of Horrific Crimes Inflicted On Children. This Higher Level Of Atrocity Demanded That We Become Parental Ambassadors For All Children Promoting Checks & Balances That Will Never Allow A Jonestown Massacre Of Children To Never Happen Again.
In 2011, Jim Jones Was Honored By His One Black Son, White Biological Son, And White Hierarchy On The Final, Sacred Resting Place Of Mostly Children On Their Mass Grave Site In Oakland. The Jewish Community Would Never Allow Hitler To Be Honored On The Holocaust Memorial.
